In winter it’s often hard to get enough fruit and veg into our diets so today I’m starting a six week winter wellness series featuring a few delicious and super healthy smoothies.

I’m kicking off the series today with my favourite Rise & Shine Smoothie and when you find out the extra special ingredient I include in this you’ll know why I love it so much.

Take a look at how easy it is to whip up in the video below and why it’s especially good for you. 




  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 Medjool dates (pitted)
  • 1 Tbs almond butter
  • 1 Tbs chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • Almond Breeze Unsweetened Almond Milk (Vanilla Flavour)


Add all ingredients into a blender and blitz for around 30 seconds. If you’d like to add some coffee to your smoothie simply add a splash of cold brew or a tsp of instant coffee dissolved in a small amount of hot tap water.
