Weight Watchers has just launched an exciting new program aimed at helping you become a more confident, slimmer, healthier you and we’re thrilled to be giving away a three month membership.

We all know that losing weight isn’t easy but Weight Watchers definitely takes the hard work out of it. And the great news is the new WW Your Way Program isn’t a diet. It’s all about falling in love with real food, enjoying getting active and finally discovering how good you’re actually meant to feel. Sound good?

The Program is based around three key pillars – FOOD, FIT and FEEL. It’s not a quick-fix plan for a temporary problem. It’s not something you do and then stop. It’s a lifestyle change that you can reap the rewards of for the rest of your life.

Remember Weight Watchers is not just for women who have huge amounts of weight to lose either, it’s for anyone who wants to make a positive change to their lifestyle, even if that’s just managing their diet, or losing the last couple of kilos that refuse to budge.

So to give you a little taste of some of the yummy recipes on the new WW Your Way Program take a look at a few of our favorite below. ROASTED PUMMPKIN, LENTIL & RICOTTA SALAD

Roasted pumpkin, lentil and ricotta salad

Ingredients

250g pumpkin, peeled, cut into thin wedges

1 small zucchini, cut into thick batons

1/2 cup (75g) canned brown lentils, rinsed, drained

1 tsp red wine vinegar

1 tsp extra-virgin olive oil

25g baby spinach leaves

1 1/2 tbs reduced-fat fresh ricotta

2 tsp chopped fresh chives

1 tbs chopped walnuts, toasted

Method

1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Line an oven tray with baking paper. Place the pumpkin and zucchini on the tray. Lightly spray with olive oil and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Roast for 25 minutes or until the vegetables are tender and lightly golden.

2. Meanwhile, place the lentils, vinegar and oil in a medium bowl and toss to combine. Add the roasted vegetables and spinach leaves and gently toss to combine.

3. Place the salad on a serving plate and top with the ricotta. Sprinkle with chives and walnuts to serve.

SERVES : 1 | PREP: 10 mins |COOKING: 25 mins

To serve four people use 1kg peeled pumpkin, 4 small zucchini, 2 cups (300g) canned lentils, 2 tbs chives, 1 tbs red wine vinegar, 1 tbs olive oil, 100g baby spinach, . cup ricotta and ⅓ cup walnuts. Follow the method as above. 

 

SMOKED CHICKEN & NECTARINE SALAD

Ingredients

1 tbs no-fat Greek yoghurt

1 tsp wholegrain mustard

4 baby cos lettuce leaves, coarsely torn

80g lean skinless smoked chicken breast, shredded

1 small nectarine, cut into thin wedges

1 small radish, thinly sliced

½ celery stick, thinly sliced

4 pale celery leaves

15g walnuts, coarsely chopped

 Method

1. Combine the yoghurt, mustard and 2 teaspoons of water in a small bowl. Season with salt and pepper.

2. Arrange the lettuce, chicken, nectarine, radish and celery in a serving bowl. Sprinkle with the celery leaves and walnut, and drizzle with the dressing.

Serve with sourdough rye bread.

Serves: 1 | Prep: 10 mins
