This New Lash Serum Is My Secret To Long Lashes

There’s a fab new lash growth serum in town and I’m already a huge fan. In fact, I was one of the lucky few selected to trial this cool new product before it officially launched in New Zealand on 1 February 2016. I’m a big fan because not only will it give you luscious long lashes but it actually works on brows too. Yep it’s a two-in-one product that can be used on your lashes or your brows or both. Winning!

Lashem is one of the top-selling lash and brow products in the US and because I’ve been using lash serums on and off for a few years now I couldn’t wait to give it a go. Now my lashes weren’t very short to start with because I’m a lash serum junkie but in the past if I’d stopped using a serum my lashes would quickly return to their almost non-existent state. So while I didn’t start from scratch with super short lashes I did notice within three weeks of using Lashem every day that my lashes were growing again – yay!.

Ten weeks on and they’re super long – in fact, if they were any longer they’d start brushing on the inside of my sunnies so I’m now only using the product every second night to keep them at the length I like.

Lashem pros

  • It’s a gel so the consistency is a tad thicker than other lash serums I’ve used that are very watery. The gel consistency makes it easier to apply.
  • The applicator is a little thicker than other lash serums I’ve tried which also makes application easier.
  • It works. In fact, I noticed new growth in my lashes within three weeks. With other lash serums I’ve had to wait at least eight weeks to see any results.
  • Great value for money. At $85 it’s significantly more affordable than other brands.
  • It can also be used on brows.
  • Doesn’t contain any nasties like Prostaglandin that is known to cause irritation and discolouration and is found in other similar products
  • Paraben free.
  • Hypoallergenic.
  • Ophthalmology tested.
  • It’s not tested on animals.

Lashem cons

  • Everyone and I mean everyone will ask you if your lashes are real.
  • Once you start using this product you’re not going to want to stop. Long lashes make your eyes pop even without makeup on. So once your lashes have grown there’s no turning back.
