Lancôme has collaborated with world famous Lanvin fashion designer Alber Elbaz on an exciting new makeup collection about to launch later this month. I recently had an up-close-and-personal peek at the collection and it’s adorable.

The limited edition collection arrives in New Zealand on 24 June so mark that date in your diary now because it’s sure to be a sell-out.

The collection is all about the eyes, which was Elbaz’s decision. “I spend my time backstage at the Lanvin shows, and when I come out at the end, all I see are people’s eyes,” Elbaz told The jumping off point for the collection was the shape of the iconic Hypnose mascara containers – Elbaz said they reminded him of a woman’s figure.

Elbaz has “dressed and re-styled” Lancôme’s popular palettes, eyeshadow monos and mascaras. He’s created three different designs – Star, Doll and Drama – which correspond with the brand’s popular mascara names. There’s a matching eye shadow palette, mono and mascara for each design, as well as one set of false lashes (in the cutest box ever).
