Simple Family Favourites – Recipes To Live By

I always thought the idea of try-before-you-buy was the stuff of dreams but it turns out it’s also one of the perks of being a blogger. You see the peeps at Kenwood have hooked me up with my top three kitchen appliances and not only do I get to test drive them on my favourite family-friendly foods, I also get to see how they look in my kitchen before I take the plunge to purchase. Gotta love a good hook-up right?

So I decided that while I put these snazzy kitchen gadgets through their paces I’d bring you along for the ride. For starters, I decided to whip up a loaf of delicious Banana Bread. Now the best part about this recipe is that I got to use all three appliances. I whipped it up in the kMix, toasted it (cause I love it a little crunchy) and then enjoyed a slice with a pot of freshly brewed Coconut & Chai tea using water that I’d boiled in the Kenwood kettle. How’s that for a trifecta?

Because I was on a roll I also whipped up a bowl of Guacamole and my favourite Ultimate Mash (my boys love this extra special recipe) to accompany our dinner that night. The mash is next level because I add an extra special ingredient that takes it from drab to fab in an instant. So take a look at the short video below of how easy it is to whip up a loaf of delicious Banana Bread (it freezes really well too) and scroll down for all three recipes.

Oh and as for the appliances – they’ve all passed with flying colours. Now all that’s left to do is convince hubby that we need to keep them!
