They say it’s the thought that counts when giving a gift but I reckon a little personal touch sets apart the good gifts from the great ones. So to help you get in the mood for the silly season (yes Christmas is just around the corner) and to cover off all your secret Santa needs, I’ve teamed up with Tasti to create three delicious and easy-to-make Christmas-inspired gifts.

Ingredients
  1. 4 cups rolled oats
  2. 1 cup Tasti long thread coconut
  3. 1 cup Tasti almonds
  4. 1/2 cup Tasti macadamias
  5. 1/2 cup Tasti cashews
  6. 3/4 cup Tasti pecans
  7. 3/4 cup Tasti hazelnuts
  8. 2 tsp ground ginger
  9. 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  10. 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  11. 1/2 tsp salt
  12. 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  13. 2/3 cup coconut oil, melted and cooled
  14. 6 Tbs maple syrup
  15. 3 Tbs molasses (or golden syrup)
  16. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  17. 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together oats, coconut, almonds, macadamias, cashews, pecans, hazelnuts, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and cloves. Pour coconut oil over mixture and stir. Combine maple syrup, molasses and vanilla and pour over oat mixture. Stir until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  3. Transfer granola to a baking tray and spread into an even layer. Bake, stirring and moving around with a wooden spoon every 10 minutes, until the mixture turns a nice, even, golden brown - usually about 30 minutes.
  4. Remove granola from the oven and stir frequently as it cools to prevent it sticking together. Once completely cool, mix in the white chocolate chips. Store in an airtight container.

Ingredients
  1. 2 1/4 cups of standard flour
  2. 1/2 tsp baking powder
  3. 2 tsp ground ginger
  4. 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  5. 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  6. 1/2 tsp salt
  7. 115 g butter, softened
  8. 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  9. 2 eggs
  10. 1/4 cup molasses (or golden syrup)
  11. 1 cup Tasti Macadamia nuts
  12. Small bag of white chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Preheat over to 180 degrees celsius. Place baking paper on an oven tray and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, spices and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar on medium speed with a hand mixer until light and fluffy - about 2 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then beat in the molasses until well mixed. On low speed, beat in the flour mixture until just combined, then fold in the macadamia nuts.
  4. Sprinkle flour on your bench and turn the dough out onto it. Divide dough in half and shape into two logs - flatten them slightly on top. Place on the prepared baking trays and bake for around 30 minutes or until the top is cracked and the dough looks dry. Remove from oven and cool for about 10 minutes.
  5. Reduce the oven to 130 degrees celsius and arrange oven racks to the top and bottom thirds of the oven.
  6. Place the logs on a cutting board and using a serrated knife, slice biscotti slightly on the bias and place cut side down onto the baking tray.
  7. Place in the oven for 30-40 mins or until dry and lightly browned, rotating the trays from top to bottom and front to back halfway through the baking time. Cool on wire racks.
  8. Melt white chocolate according to instructions on packet and dip biscotti into melted chocolate and place on a wire rack to set. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 months.

Ingredients
  1. 2 cups of your favourite Tasti nuts
  2. 2 Tbs honey
  3. 2 Tbs molasses (or golden syrup)
  4. 2 tsp gingerbread spice mix
  5. 2 Tbs Coconut sugar
  6. 1 tsp salt
Gingerbread spice mix
  1. 2 Tbs cinnamon
  2. 2 tsp ginger
  3. 2 tsp cloves
  4. 1/2 tsp all spice
  5. 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  6. pinch pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius.
  2. Spread the nuts in a single layer on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  3. Roast for 5-7 minutes - tossing once in between.
  4. Combine honey, molasses, and gingerbread spice in a medium bowl.
  5. Heat the mixture for a few seconds (in the microwave) to make it really runny.
  6. Add the roasted nuts and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Spread coated almonds again onto the lined baking tray and return to the oven for 5 more minutes.
  8. Combine sugar and salt in a medium bowl.
  9. Let roasted almonds cool for 5 mins then toss in sugar and salt mixture.
  10. Store cooled almonds in an airtight container.

SUPPLIES

It’s really easy and affordable to add a little Christmas bling to your baking. For these gifts I bought my quilted glass jars from The Warehouse for $2 each along with the large glass canisters. I bought the Christmas crackers and the clip on icicles from Warehouse Stationery. I already had the hessian but you can get it from Spotlight for as little as a few dollars a metre. And the super talented Maiko Nagao supplied the gorgeous hand painted gift tags which you can download for FREE here
