If you’ve got a party coming up and need to bring a plate then we’ve got you covered. To help make your summer entertaining a breeze – think less time in the kitchen and more time poolside – we’ve created some simple and delicious snacks for all occasions using Lisa’s Hummus.  

For an extra taste sensation you’ll love our home-made potato crisps! Not only are they easy to make (promise!) but are the yummiest crisps you’ve ever tasted – truly! If you want to up the ante then our Single Serve Dippers may be just the ticket. No matter what type of party you attend this silly season – we’ve got you covered. See all our stylish tricks with dips below.

 

Hummus Single Serve Dippers

Ingredients

Method

  1. Cut veggies into thin strips. 
  2. Place hummus in small shot glasses and arrange veggies on top.

 

Warm Hummus with Pita Crisps

Ingredients

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees c.
  2. Cut the pita bread into thin slices and brush the outside of both sides with a thin layer of olive oil.
  3. Bake in the oven until slightly brown and crisp.
  4. Before serving mix both tubs of hummus together and microwave in a small bowl (covered) for 30 seconds then spring the dukkah on top and serve.

 

Toasted Bruschetta Bites

Ingredients

Method

  1. Preheat the grill to around 220 degrees c.
  2. Cut the bread stick into thin slices and place on a baking tray.
  3. Add a dollop of hummus and top with grated cheese and herbs (I used Thyme).
  4. Grill until cheese has melted and slightly browned.
  5. Serve warm.

 

Red Pepper Hummus Cups

Above: A telegraph cucumber cut into bite size pieces makes a perfect little edible cup for hummus.

 

Ingredients

Method

  1. Score the outside of a telegraph cucumber with a veggie peeler to create stripes.
  2. With a small spoon, remove the centre of the cucumber making sure to leave enough in the bottom so the hummus doesn’t run out. 
  3. Spoon dollops of Lisa’s Chargrilled Capsicum Hummus into the cucumber cups and top with a sprig of fresh rosemary and a sprinkle of paprika.

 

Home-made Potato Crisp Dipper

Ingredients

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees c.
  2. Slice potatoes into wafer thin slices. 
  3. Place baking paper on oven trays and brush with olive oil. Place in oven to heat the oil.
  4. Place potato slices on warmed oven trays and brush potato with oil.
  5. Season with salt and pepper and bake for around 15 mins.
  6. Turn each piece and bake for another 10 minutes. Be sure to keep a close eye on your crisps as they will burn quickly.
  7. Drain crisps on a paper towel.
  8. Mix dip with a sprinkling of your favourite herbs and place in individual glasses.
  9. Top with home-made crisps.
