The REAL Reason Pita Pit Is My Favourite Fast Food!

There’s no denying that when you’re a busy, working mum fast food becomes a handy fall back. But as we know, not all fast food is created equal and that’s why I’ve been on the hunt for the healthiest fast food I can find. It turns out that the healthiest option I’ve found also gets a big thumbs up from my boys – winning! So when I was asked to bring my boys along to trial Pita Pit’s free range menu we all jumped at the chance. The fact that the Victoria Park Pita Pit is a stone’s throw from my boys’ favourite skate park also helped seal the deal.

To be honest we’ve been Pita Pit fans for a long time but what I didn’t realise until recently is that Pita Pit is actually leading the charge in its commitment to ethically sourced and locally grown food and this is huge for me. I want to know where my food comes from and I want to know what I’m feeding my family. The fact that the pitas also taste delicious is what makes Pita Pit my favourite fast food choice – hands down. Knowing that we can all enjoy fast food that’s actually good for us and good for the planet is a great feeling.

In fact, the team at Pita Pit care so much about what we eat they even let their customer’s decide some of their biggest buying decisions. A recent example of this was when heavy rains hindered the growth of baby spinach the company took to social media to ask its customers if they were happy to wait until local farmers got back on their feet or if they’d prefer Pita Pit to source spinach from overseas. The customers chose to wait rather than source overseas and a company that asks these types of questions is one I want to support and that’s why I was happy to join forces with Pita Pit today to share their #eatyourselfhappy message.

Take a look at what happened when my boys (yes my 14-year-old was with us but refused to get his photo taken) and I grabbed lunch at Pita Pit below and scroll down to the bottom of the page to enter our Pita Pit giveaway.
