Make your own banana face mask

With summer fast approaching now is a great time to give your skin a little extra TLC.

Kati Kasza, the founder of evolu botanical skincare is known for her DIY skincare recipes (that’s how she first started evolu) and she has kindly shared another of her favorite recipes for a fabulous homemade nourishing mask. So if you have a spare 15 minutes this weekend why not treat yourself to a little at-home pampering!

The only electrical equipment you’ll need is a blender or food processor.
A small word of caution: before you apply any mask, Kati recommends doing a patch test on a small piece of skin to test your sensitivity to it. Inside your arm just below your elbow is a good place.

Banana Mask

This mask is for all skin in need of nourishment. Bananas are the super food for nourishment, as they contain large quantities of magnesium, potassium, zinc, iodine, iron and vitamins A, B (folic acid), E, and F.

Ideal for battling dry skin and wrinkles. Banana facials moisturize and soothe your skin.

What you need:

1/2 Banana
2 Tbs Coconut oil
1 Egg white (beaten stiff)

Mash the banana with a fork and add the coconut oil. Fold in the beaten egg white.

Apply to the skin with a wooden spatula keeping the eye area clear

Now lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 15 minutes

Wash off with a warm face cloth.
