Make liquid liner your new best friend

There’s no better way to add instant glamour to your everyday makeup than with liquid eyeliner. Made cool in the ‘60s, the cat’s eye is a trend that’s still seen on the catwalk today. While liquid liner isn’t always easy to master it’s not something you need to be scared of either.

For beginners (and masters alike) a gel liner is a good place to start because they are super easy to work with and precision it’s quite so key. When applying winged liner you need to get as close to your lash line as possible, and start on the inside of your eye. When it comes time to master the flick, a little trick is to follow the line of your bottom eyelid. Depending on the look you’re going for, your flick can be as big, or small, as you like – and remember to try and make your flicks as even as possible – practice makes perfect!

Inspired? If you see a makeup look you want to recreate, it’s best to stick it on your mirror so you can refer back while you’re doing it yourself. It will keep you on track, and honest.

Here’s a foolproof (and klutz-proof way) to apply liquid eyeliner
