Wattie's Cans Film Festival 2013

GO TO THE MOVIES FOR FREE – WELL ALMOST!

The famous Wattie’s Cans Film Festival is back for the twentieth year and that means you can take your family to the movies in exchange for a can of food. Sounds crazy but it’s true! Reading Cinemas, Hoyts Cinemas, and EVENT Cinemas and a selection of independent cinemas are generously offering their theatres for the Festival night which is Wednesday 13 November.

Cans of food can be exchanged for Festival night tickets at participating cinemas from Wednesday 6th November right up to the Festival night.

This year’s movie line-up includes some of the most popular films of 2013, including the documentary on pop sensation One Direction, Despicable Me 2, Turbo, Planes and Smurfs 2.

The Wattie’s Cans Film Festival provides essential support to the Salvation Army in stocking up their food banks for the busy Christmas period. For every can donated, Wattie’s will donate one can of their own to help ensure The Salvation Army have the supplies they need to support Kiwis in need this Christmas.

So what are you waiting for? Grab a can and enjoy a fun night out with the family.
