This fun book just arrived at Style Insider HQ today and I’ve been having a good laugh looking back on the way we wore through some of the most notable fashion ads of the 20th Century.

I thought I’d share a few of my favourites.

Mr Cool? Yeah right! (Clipper Craft, 1960)

A what suit? (Munsingwear Underwear, 1937)

Straight from the set of Mad Men. (The Manhattan Shirt Company, 1960)

The Pièce de résistance – a revolution ? (Interwoven Socks, 1972)

Fashion Ads of the 20th Century is published by TASCHEN and distributed in New Zealand by New Holland Publishers. It’s available from all good book stores or you can call +64 9 481 0444 to order a copy.
