It’s time to shed some light on the real work-horses of our winter wardrobes – jackets and cosy cover-ups. When the temperate drops we may be all about keeping warm but let’s face it we still want to look stylie and thats why great outerwear is the most important player in a hard-working winter wardrobe. But often it can also be one of the most expensive too. So we’ve teamed up with The Warehouse to show you how easy it is to stay on trend without blowing the budget.

By adding a couple of key new season pieces you can create a multitude of cool new looks. Scroll down and you’ll see what we mean.

military-inspired parka will keep you snuggly and warm all winter long while adding a cool street style vibe to your outfit. The versatility of this type of jacket means we’ll continue to see them on the runways and on street style blogs for many years to come.

A great faux sherpa vest is a great piece to add to your repertoire as it gives you warmth without bulk. It’s also the easiest piece to throw on over just about everything you own.  Winning!

The coatigan is our favourite fashion hybrid. Part coat, part cardigan it’s one of those pieces you’ll wonder how you survived without. Perfect for keeping you snuggly and warm while looking super stylish. Just remember if you’re petite to watch the length – you don’t want it too long otherwise it will swamp you. If you’re tall you can go for gold.
