Beauty Review: Elizabeth Arden’s New Eye Serum

Did you know the skin around our eyes is 10 times finer than the skin on the rest of our bodies? TEN TIMES! It’s little wonder we need to give that skin some extra loving! So when Elizabeth Arden recently released some teensy tiny new Advanced Ceramide Capsules designed specifically for our eyes I couldn’t wait to try them. I’ve always been a fan of the regular Advanced Ceramide Capsules because they leave your skin feeling super silky and amazing so I was especially keen to see if the new Daily Youth Restoring Eye Serum stacked up too.

See how I use this fab new serum to help diminish dark circles under my eyes in the short video below and scroll down to find out why they’re my new favourite product. And don’t forget to enter to win a bottle to try for yourself at the very bottom of this page.

Each newly released Advanced Ceramide Daily Youth Restoring Eye Serum Capsule contains nine new ingredients designed to target the signs of ageing around the eyes. Sea Fennel is new to the formula and it specifically helps to promote natural skin cell renewal as well as increased luminosity and skin smoothness. Hops Extract is a powerful anti-inflammatory and has also been added to increase the brightness of the eye area along with a number of other moisture-boosting ingredients.  As with all of the Ceramide range, each golden capsule is biodegradable, fragrance and preservative-free.

Ceramics actually make up around 50 percent of the essential lipids (naturally occurring molecules) found in the outermost layer of the skin and have been found to be a crucial part of maintaining skin health. However, your skin’s moisture and ceramide levels decline rapidly with age and this is what causes wrinkles and loss of firmness.

Eye Serum, 60 Capsules, $115.

  • Each capsule contains a mega-dose of anti-ageing goodness for your eye area.

  • The formula is lightweight and absorbs quickly and easily into the skin.

  • Visibly reduces puffiness.

  • You know exactly how much product you have left in your jar.

  •  There’s no waste and no mess.

  • It’s a new product but leverages 25-years of research that has gone into the original Advanced Ceramide Capsules.

  • The capsules are so small they can be a tad tricky to use if you have large hands like mine.

  • They don’t come cheap but if you are going to invest in good skincare the eye area is the place to do it.
