EASY RECIPE: Bliss Balls

If you want to eat well but still enjoy a tasty treat from time to time then you’ll love these delicious Bliss Balls.

This year is the year for me to transform my diet and eat as cleanly and as healthily as I can. I’m sure that’s not always going to be possible but I’m working on the 80/20 theory – if I can eat this way 80 percent of the time I’ll be happy.

I’ve recently discovered the power of Chia seeds and I’ve been sprinkling them into my smoothies, on my cereal in the morning and adding them to muffins.

Chia seeds are not only high in fibre, calcium and protein but they also contain twice the potassium as a banana. They’re great for healthy skin, hair and nails so they’re well worth including in your diet.

These Bliss Balls are amazing as a little guilt-free afternoon pick-me-up.




1 Cup Almonds
1 Cup Walnuts
6 Medjool Dates
1Tbs Cacao Powder
1 Tbs Agave Syrup
2 Tbs Orange Juice (or coconut water)
1/2 tsp Cinnamon (optional)
2 Tbs Chia Seeds
2 Tbs Shredded Coconut


Mix all of the above ingredients (except the Chia seeds and coconut) in a food processor until smooth. Roll into balls and then finish by rolling balls in the combined coconut and chia seeds.

Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
