4 Mouth-Watering Mocktails To Chug-A-Lug All Summer Long

By  |  0 Comments

I love a fancy cocktail as much as the next person but what I don’t love is the hefty price tag that comes with ordering one at a bar. So when the peeps at Hansells sent me a few boxes of their new All Natural Fruit Syrups I decided to dust off my bartending skills (it’s been a long time) to recreate a few of my favourite cocktails – only this time without alcohol. Now don’t get me wrong I’m not making a stand against alcohol or anything as crazy as that. I just wanted to make some thirst-quenching drinks that my friends and I can enjoy all summer long without having to worry about a thing. And besides, you can always add in a sneaky shot or two of your favourite spirit to give them an extra kick if you feel the need!

Above: Virgin Mojitos make look like the real deal but there’s zero alcohol in them.

  • mint leaves
  • juice of two limes
  • Hansells All Natural Mandarin, Lime & Bitters Fruit Syrup
  • ice
  • ginger ale
  • soda water

In the bottom of each glass, muddle two mint leaves, lime juice and Mandarin, Lime & Bitters Fruit Syrup. Add ice, a splash of ginger ale and top with soda. Stir to combine. Garnish with mint and a slice of mandarin.

For an alcoholic version simply replace the ginger ale with approx 45 ml of white rum.

Above: Mandarins may not be in season in summer but that’s not stopping us.

Above: Wow your friends this summer and quench their thirst in style.

  • basil leaves
  • Hansells All Natural Blackcurrant, Cranberry with a hint of Basil Fruit Syrup
  • ice
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • tonic water
  • soda water
  • green apple and fresh blackberries to garnish

In the bottom of each glass, muddle a few basil leaves with the sugar. Add a splash of tonic water and top with soda water. Place ice in a blender and blitz to produce crushed ice. Add ice to create an ice mountain. Pour Blackcurrant, Cranberry with a hint of Basil Fruit Syrup over the ice and garnish with a slice of green apple and fresh blackberries.

Above: Adding a few fresh ingredients takes your mocktail from drab to fab in an instant.

Above: This is such an easy summer drink.

Above: The fresh lime really makes this Moscow Mule stand out from the crowd.

  • fresh lime
  • Hansells All Natural Old Fashioned Lemonade with Key Lime Extract Fruit Syrup
  • ice
  • soda water
  • ginger beer

In the bottom of each glass add squeeze of fresh lime juice and a splash of Hansells All Natural Old Fashioned Lemonade with Key Lime Extract Fruit Syrup. Add ice, a splash of soda water and fill to the top with ginger beer. Garnish with a slice of lime.

For a real Moscow Mule simply replace the soda water with vodka.

Above: It may look like it packs a punch but this Mule is one hundred per cent non alcoholic.

Above:  You can add a tsp of sugar to this recipe if you’d like to dial up the sweetness a tad.

Above: Greet your guests this party season with some delicious mocktails.

  • basil leaves
  • Hansells All Natural Lemon, Raspberry and Elderberry Fruit Syrup
  • ice
  • limonata (or Lemonade)
  • lemon slices for garnish
  • mint
  • raspberry jam
  • fresh raspberries

In the bottom of each glass, muddle a few mint leaves with raspberries. Stir in a spoonful of raspberry jam and top with Limonite and Hansells All Natural Lemon, Raspberry and Elderberry Fruit Syrup. Stir to combine. Fill glass with ice and garnish with a slice of lemon and fresh mint leaves.

Above: If you don’t like your mocktails to be too sweet then simply omit the jam.

Above: This mocktail is a real hit with the kids too.
