Behind the scenes

Last week I was lucky enough to attend an amazing spring media launch for The
Aromatherapy Co. and I thought you may like to see what goes on behind the scenes at these events. Now not all media launches are created equal but I have to say this launch was right up there with the best of them. It was held at Auckland’s Mantells which is a gorgeous European-style venue. Media from various magazines and websites where handed champagne on arrival before being seated at a beautiful table covered in pretty spring flowers.

These events are always a great way to find out about new products being launched and they are also a great way to meet the people behind the brands (and to catch up with my media friends). I was excited to meet the owner and founder of The Aromatherapy Co. Sarah Townsend. I knew that the company was New Zealand owned but I didn’t realise Sarah first started The Aromatherapy Co. a whopping 20 years ago.

While we ate our delicious meals (I choose the Snapper) Sarah chatted to us about the company and talked about the therapeutic properties of essential oils and the exciting new products that are heading our way very soon. Around the room were amazing displays of all of the different ranges the company makes.

My favourite has to be the Therapy Range (above). I love everything about this range and I even collect the fabulous bottles from the home diffusers as they make really beautiful vases. There is now also a Baby Therapy range – I wish this had been around when my boys were tiny.

After lunch we all headed outside for coffee by the fire and to enjoy some much-welcome Auckland sunshine.

 

Now this certainly beats grinding away at my desk.

 

I couldn’t help showing off my brand new Nike kicks for the camera.

We were all given an amazing goodie bag at the end of the afternoon and we also got to choose some products from the amazing selection that were set up around the room. Talk about spoilt!

gorgeous little owl burner all weekend.

One of the exciting new products on the horizon for The Aromatherapy Co. is a special spray for soothing and healing eczema. It sounds amazing so I’ll let you konw as soon as this fab new product arrives.
